HABITAT:They are found in mountain regions, living in thick jungle and ravines.
HISTORY: Swinhoe 1872.
DISCRIPTION: The males can sometimes be aggresive towards hens so it is better to put some cover to the avairy for the hen to escape. They are really hardy birds and they can tolerate very low tempratures. Syrmaticus hens are very similar you have to beware of crossing them.
AVAIRY POSITION:Well planted 18m2 avairy.
FEEDING: Pellets, seeds, green food, live food.
BREEDING AGE: First year.
BREEDING SEASON: March.
NUMBER OF EGGS IN A YEAR: 12-24 eggs.
INCUBATION PERIOD:25 days.
