RANGE: Himalayas, from eastern Afghanistan to western China and they are national bird of Nepal.
HABITAT:They are from cool mountain forests.
HISTORY: Latham 1719.
DISCRIPTION: They are one of the most beatiful pheasants with their metallic colors. They are really gentle birds and they become very tame. They require plenty of shelter and shade from the hot summer sun as they came from cold climate. They have to be in every collection.
AVAIRY POSITION:Well planted 20m2 avairy. They are very good diggers.
FEEDING: Pellets, seeds, green food, live food.
BREEDING AGE: Second year.
BREEDING SEASON: April.
YILLIK YUMURTA SAYISI: 8-12 eggs.
INCUBATION PERIOD:28 days.
