HABITAT:Pools and marshes in open wooded country. Forest lakes and pools.
GENERAL INFO:As they are forest ducks you have to put some trees or some sticks about 1.5 m high for them. In the wild they are breeding in tree holes so you have to put something like them for breeding.
SUB SPECIES: There is also yellow mutation of ringed teal.
DESCRIPTION:They are one of the smallest ducks of the world. It is better to keep them in pairs.
AVAIRY POSITION:Well planted 10m2 avairy with a pond.
FEEDING: Corn, wheat, oats, rye, millet, milo , stale bread , greens and pellet feeds.
BREEDING AGE: First year.
BREEDING SEASON: May.
NUMBER OF EGGS IN A YEAR: 8-12 eggs.
INCUBATION PERIOD: 24-26 days.
